With a career spanning nearly five decades, Foxton first rose to fame as bassist/vocalist and songwriter for The Jam, writing and performing lead vocals on ‘News of the World’, ‘Smithers-Jones’, and their celebrated cover of The Kinks’ ‘David Watts’.

Following The Jam’s split, Foxton released his solo album Touch Sensitive in 1984, before joining punk-rock pioneers Stiff Little Fingers, with whom he toured and recorded for over 15 years.

In 2007, Foxton teamed up with former Jam drummer Rick Buckler and guitarist/vocalist Russell Hastings to form From The Jam, reigniting the spirit of the original band for a new generation of fans.
